Role overview

We are looking for someone with catering experience in an education or care based setting who would be able to plan, prepare, cook and serve meals to school pupils visiting an education centre on residential trips.

Please not there is no access to public transport, therefore an alternative mode of transport will be required for the candidate the access the site.

Your new role

  • Planning, preparing and serving healthy and nutritious meals.
  • Keeping kitchen facilities spotless.
  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensuring dietary and allergen requirements are met.
  • Managing stock, supplies, and deliveries.

What you will need to succeed

  • Experienced in food preparation for approximately 60 people at a time.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable juggling tasks and solving problems on the go.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as and when required.
  • Holds an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Ideally holds a valid driving license (due to our remote location).
  • GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4) or equivalent (required).
  • Food hygiene level 2 (required).
  • Allergen awareness qualification (desired).
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification (desired).
